Mrs. Geraci’s Biography

Mrs. Geraci was born into a large, Catholic family in a very small town in New Jersey. Due to her father’s work, she had the pleasure of living in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Southern California, Delaware, and eventually, Northern California! She currently lives in San Jose with her husband.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Later, she obtained a Paralegal Certificate from Santa Clara University.

After some time in the workforce and experience as a mother, she returned to college to study the field of early childhood education. As a result, she became a qualified Child Development Master Teacher and a Child Development Site Supervisor, receiving a permit issued by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Mrs. Geraci is blessed with one, precious son. With the support of his many family members, he had the great privilege of receiving a Catholic education from elementary school through college. He attended St. Lucy’s, Bellarmine, and Gonzaga University.  Currently, he is completing his final year of law school at UC Law, San Francisco. Her daughter-in-law also attended Gonzaga University and currently works as a nurse for Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco.

Mrs. Geraci has been teaching for over twenty years. Her first teaching job was at the preschool her son attended. She joined the faculty at Resurrection in 2007, working as the Lead Preschool Teacher and Director of the Junior Kindergarten program.

What she enjoys most about teaching, especially at Resurrection, is the school’s curious & kind students, supportive & dedicated families, and the large, beautiful campus!

Her own spiritual journey and teaching style, as a Catechist, is greatly influenced by the writings and teachings of St. Teresa of Avila, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Teresa of Calcutta, and St. Ignatius of Loyola. Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4: 8-9.

In her free time, Mrs. Geraci enjoys family time, foreign travel and reading!

This school year, Mrs. Geraci is most looking forward to working with the first and second graders!  She believes it’s always a thrill to witness the amount of learning they receive and master during those critical years, and that it is a special honor to prepare the second grade class for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.
