Ms. Wahl’s Biography

Miss Wahl was born in the Bay Area and grew up in Sunnyvale. She attended Resurrection for 10 years and graduated as a part of the Class of 2014. She completed her undergrad at Sonoma State University and currently attends Santa Clara University, working toward her Master's in Teaching.

She is excited and honored to be back at Res teaching 3rd and 4th grade in her 2nd year on staff. Before teaching at Res, she completed a 1-year teaching fellowship at ISF Academy in Hong Kong. There she taught middle school and high school biology, and environmental science. Miss Wahl enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and competing in West Coast Swing in her limited spare time.

Miss Wahl decided to pursue a career in teaching because she enjoys the relationships she gets to build with her students and loves to watch them blossom through new learning opportunities they encounter. She loves being a part of the Resurrection community because she appreciates the holistic focus on education. Students are not only nurtured academically, but socially, emotionally, and spiritually as well.

She says it was an easy decision to return to Res because of this and all the fond memories Resurrection holds for her and her family. Miss Wahl is not the first Wahl to graduate from Resurrection, as she follows in the footsteps of her father and his siblings who also graduated from here.

This year, Miss Wahl is excited to bring more hands-on and interactive learning experiences to her class. She looks forward to the variety of projects and field trips she is planning to implement to enhance the 3rd and 4th-grade curriculum.
