Mrs. Markley’s Biography
Mrs. Markley was born in Redwood City, California, but currently lives in Sunnyvale. For her education, she went to Cal Poly and Notre Dame de Namur.
This is Mrs. Markley’s 34th year teaching. Her first teaching job was teaching special education in Los Angeles County. She then spent 15 years teaching and coaching at Saint Francis High School. In 2005, she began teaching at Resurrection.
Her teaching career has brought her many joys over the years. She loves the student and parent relationships that she has made throughout her career. She looks forward to each new year and the surprises that each fresh school year always bring! Mrs. Markley’s favorite thing about the Res community is how friendly and welcoming everyone is, and how easy the students and parents are to work with.
In her free time, Mrs. Markley enjoys photography, cooking, and baking. She also really enjoys watching her four children and husband compete in sports!
When asked about a quote that best describes her outlook on life, Mrs. Markley quotes Coach John Scolinos when he said, “Surround yourself with good people” and “Do what makes you happy.”
This school year, Mrs. Markley is most looking forward to her students blossoming and growing due to the smaller class sizes, and is excited for the many opportunities that await our school and community!
