Mrs. Mishra’s Biography
Mrs. Mishra was born and raised in Los Angeles but has moved back and forth between southern and northern California a couple of times for college and work experience. Now, she lives in Santa Clara.
For her education, Mrs. Mishra attended Santa Clara University for her bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She then completed her Master of Education program and teaching credential through National University and is currently working on clearing her credential with Mount Saint Mary’s University.
Mrs. Mishra is now in her seventh year of classroom teaching, and in her eleventh year of education with experience in TK up through middle school students. She first taught first grade at Saint Lucy’s of Long Beach. Then, she taught fifth grade at Saint Brendan’s Los Angeles. Her last teaching job before Resurrection was with Holy Spirit School in San Jose.
Throughout her years in education, her favorite part of teaching has been the many opportunities to empower young minds and hearts through academic curriculum and her Catholic faith. While this is only her first year at our school, her favorite thing about Resurrection is the welcoming community of staff, students, families, and the church.
In her free time, Mrs. Mishra enjoys doing her own manicures, watching K-dramas, and walking her dogs. She and her husband rescued a bonded pair of mixed Chihuahuas!
When asked for a quote from someone that best describes her outlook on life, Mrs. Mishra says that it is best summarized by Rosa Parks, when she said, “I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear.” Mrs. Mishra says that as someone with indecisiveness, she sometimes overthinks the future-but has learned to just live in the present and make decisions. This has been her beacon of overcoming fear and worry.
This school year, Mrs. Mishra is most excited about being immersed in the community of Resurrection while learning about and working with her students!
