After-School Sports

Resurrection School makes available an extensive After-school Sports Program that is run by and supported by the volunteer efforts of school parents, alumni and friends. The program is open to all students in grades 4 through 8. Wherever possible, teams for each grade (4th-8th) are formed. This program allows students to participate in organized athletic competition against other Catholic and private schools in the area. Our no-cut program provides an opportunity for all students to participate, regardless of ability.

The purpose of this program is to enhance school spirit, gain self-esteem, learn the elements of good sportsmanship, get exercise and to learn the basic skills of the various sports offered. In addition, the participants are able to meet and make new friends with students from the other schools in the leagues. This will help the students in their transition to the local high schools in the area.

For the 2024-25 school year, we will be offering 4 sports seasons:

• Fall: August-October – Boys Flag Football and Girls Indoor Volleyball
• Winter 1: October-December – Boys Basketball and Girls Soccer
• Winter 2: January-March – Boys Soccer and Girls Basketball
• Spring: March-May – Boys Indoor Volleyball and Girls Flag Football
