Our Enrichment Programs
In keeping with our philosophy of educating the whole child, the following enrichment programs are included in our school-wide curriculum for most grades.
Resurrection School offers Spanish to all students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade twice a week. In the upper grades, the course is part of the core curriculum and the grade is applied towards the student's GPA.
All students in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade attend Library once a week and have the opportunity to check out books to bring back to their classroom or home. Research skills, study skills, and the joy of reading are all imparted during library time.
All students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade spend time weekly in the computer lab brushing up on keyboard typing, use of Office applications, presentation skills and research. Not only will our 8th graders know how to give a PowerPoint presentation but upon graduation they are comfortable writing papers in the MLA format, knowing how to cite sources, write bibliographies, and title their papers correctly.
Twice a week, all students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade participate in P.E. Students learn about healthy eating habits, how to best take care of themselves, what unhealthy habits to avoid, along with physical exercise.
Once a week, our very own Sr. Fidelma spends time weekly with students in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade working on choral music and absorbing music of different time periods. A wonderful Christmas concert is put on by the students in all grades for all families to enjoy!
Through the efforts of the PTG, fundraising dollars are used to support the school's Art program. The Community School of Music and Arts is contracted to provide weekly or bi-weekly art classes to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Visit the student's artwork at Open House in January!
