Miss Julia Rodriguez

Extended Care Director
Has been at Resurrection since: Summer 2018

Ms. Rodriguez has been volunteering and working in extended care programs in the Diocese of San Jose since 2009. She joined the Resurrection community for the 2018 Summer Program and is now the Extended Care Director. It was a joy for her to get to know so many of the students and staff over the summer. She feels blessed to have been so kindly welcomed into the Resurrection family where she gets to work alongside her mother and little sister, who is an 8th grader at Resurrection.

Born in San Jose and raised in Sunnyvale, Ms. Rodriguez is a graduate of St. Cyprian and Archbishop Mitty High School. She has been playing basketball since she was in 2nd grade and remembers playing in the Resurrection gym. Aside from basketball, Ms. Rodriguez also played water polo and badminton for Mitty. Entering into her fifth season as Mitty’s head varsity badminton coach, she has led the team to win 2 division championships in the last 3 years, and made the program’s first appearance in NorCal finals in 2017.

When Ms. Rodriguez is not working with kids, playing or watching sports, she loves to read and do arts and crafts. She especially enjoys drawing and painting. Ms. Rodriguez loves spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite pastime with them is when there are plenty of board games to play, lots of good food to enjoy, and much laughter to be had by all!

Studying media communications with a focus on filmmaking, she loves to make movies. An aspiring documentarian, Ms. Rodriguez hopes to bring educational films to underprivileged students through her documentaries. Living her entire life in the Silicon Valley, she wants to help bridge the gap in education by utilizing the technological resources available and expose students to content they may not otherwise be able to experience.
