Has been teaching at Resurrection since: 2014
Education: BA with Dept. Honors in History, Master of Ed. candidate at NHU.
I began teaching at Resurrection in 2014, and I am loving every minute of it. The students are wonderful and I look forward to seeing them each day. Before coming to Resurrection, I taught for 16 years in a variety of subjects and grades and I can't imagine doing anything else with my life. I've taught 3rd grade for eight years, Jr. High Literature for two years, Jr. High PE for two years, and Jr. High History for four years.
I was born in San Jose, and grew up in the area. I attended public school in Santa Clara, and graduated from Santa Clara High School in 1990. I originally went to college to study Oceanography (biological and geological), which is still a hobby of mine, but added History as a second major once I started college. However, I moved back home to finish my History degree at San Jose State. I lived in Bath, England as an college exchange student for a semester, and during that time I completed my bachelor's honors thesis on Elizabeth I. I travelled around the UK and Europe as much as I could. I've traveled to England, Wales, Scotland, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain (including the island of Mallorca), and a very brief layover in France.
I love to read, and my favorite author is Stephen King. I also love to bake. I am happily married to Philip, the only man who could ever understand me, and we have two children - James and Phoebe.
If I'm not teaching then my time is spent doing anything to keep my children occupied. We go camping, play at the park, dance classes, the beach, and other various activities that make me exhausted. I wouldn't change a thing. I'm simply loving life.
