Innovating our Curriculum with leading edge technology!

In 2011 Resurrection Catholic school is embarking on a journey with technology to further children’s educational experience. Research has shown that technology can, indeed, help improve teaching and learning when used wisely and there are several innovative hardware, software and other devices that give teachers innovative ways to engage students, improve retention, and make learning more interactive.

It’s a proven fact that students love applications. Apps help personalize instruction, address a variety of learning styles, and create highly interactive classrooms. That not only makes for a more engaging learning environment, it also results in performance improvements across the board. And since most students are familiar with the Apple devices these apps are made for, they can start using them right away.

Our vision for Resurrection is to enable a 21st century learning environment across grade levels. We are committed to adopting a digital school model of high access computing and other digital technologies across the curriculum and grade levels for use by students and teachers anytime, anywhere. A phased approach to implementing the technology infused classroom has been developed and the pilot program will commence in January , 2011. 

Students will enjoy shared iPads as well as a variety of innovative technologies in every classroom including digital cameras, FLIP video cameras, Elmo projectors and more. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting development coming your way as we transform how our kids are learning!
