Ms. Dianne Connelly
Science Teacher (6th - 8th Grade)
Has been teaching at Resurrection since: 2
Why did you choose to teach at Resurrection?
I chose to teach at Res because the Principal at the time asked me to come over and answer some questions about the new science lab so I said I would and I left with a job. I continue to teach here because there are always new smiling faces to teach. The staff, faculty, administration and parish work together well. The parents are supportive, actually really fantastic. They help us all succeed. It has been a positive happy experience.
How do you inspire students to enjoy learning?
I think hands-on science is fun. It is how I learn best. How could they not enjoy hand-on science? They know, they understand. It makes them happy.
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
The thing I like most is when the light of understanding comes on in the eyes of the students and a big smiles comes across their face.
What do you want students to take away from having know you?
I hope they will take scientific method as a problem solving tool that they can use for the rest of their life. Then we will both be happy.
What interests you outside the classroom?
What motivated you to become a teacher?
It is a gift. I can't help it.
